MASONRY CLEANING

At RCM we consider it an honor to be part of preserving our nation’s archives, buildings, monuments and history.  We take great care in maintaining the original intentions and form of every building.  RCM has performed historical masonry restorations at the National Cathedral, the Art Museum of the Americas and the Marine Memorial Chapel at Quantico among many other historical landmarks.

The effects of changing seasons, pollution, and weather will wear down an exterior brick façade. Over time cracks will develop and water will penetrate behind the brick surfaces, which causes structural damage. Whether a building has been damaged by nature, faulty construction or manmade stress, RCM takes great care when tuck pointing and repairing a building’s exterior.  All necessary procedures will be followed, bringing you the highest quality of work.  During the tuck pointing process, all joints will be ground down to a minimum 1/2" depth, excess dust will be rinsed from the grout line, and the replacement mortar will be matched to the type and color of the original material.  In the final stage, mortar will be tooled to give it the perfect appearance and clean lines.

Each of our projects receives individualized attention and custom blended Jahn mortars.  Our company is proud to offer award-winning quality and exceptional service with the best prices.
